Skyclad In Wicca, Pagan Religion

The term Skyclad in Wicca, Pagan religion means a type of nudity during a ritual. Skyclad is considered to be used in witchcraft in practices, to help one bond with the Earth, it has said to have started in England. The naked body is said to have the meaning of truth, some traditions perform Skyclad in only half of the year, the other half of the year they were said to have worn robes. The term Skyclad means to me by way of the body being sacred, along with one not being ashamed of their body if they are walking around naked. The term Skyclad also means to me someone who uses their body as a form of helping with making the energy stronger during a ritual practice. Some witches use Skyclad by way of dancing in the nude as a way to feel more natural along with feeling free. One reason that they did this naked was that they felt like the clothes got in their way while performing all practices.
