If you love eating Mexican food, but are trying to eat healthier this year, keep these tips in mind the next time you create or go out for Mexican food.

Skip The Chips

One of the easiest ways to make your Mexican food more healthy is by skipping the chips. If you are going out to eat, ask your server to not place any chips on your table; that way, you will not be tempted at all.

If you are preparing food at home, just skip the chips altogether. That doesn’t mean you have to skip out on salsa though; just use it on your meal instead of on your chips.
