I still recall the mornings where I would dread looking in the mirror because I was embarrassed by what I saw. I was a young teenager who was extremely self-conscious about my skin conditions that I felt the need to cover up with excessive makeup and clothes. I was tired of people asking me why my skin looked so peculiar. Your skin is one of the first physical attributes that people encounter when they see you. Therefore, living with skin conditions can cause psychosocial problems, some of which I have experienced. Even though I met with my dermatologist once a month on a regular basis, she wasn’t able to make a definitive diagnosis for over a year. It was a skin biopsy that led to my diagnosis and treatment regimen. After many years of struggling
