Skiing And Snowboarding Similarities

Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding are two fun winter sports and are both in the Olympics. You might think that the two sport are polar opposites, but they actually have just as many similarities as differences. Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding have several similar traits. Athletes in both sports ride on slick polished pieces of wood that require special boots and can get going very fast. In snowboarding both feet are on one wide, straight piece of wood and you don’t need poles to propel you. In Freestyle Skiing; however, each foot is on a separate long, thin piece of wood and you use ski poles to help push you along. Both Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding are judged similarly. In both sports athletes have to perform jumps and tricks. However,
