She intuitively uses her inside edge to push off in a diagonal, outwards direction to increase her speed. Her stride lengths are decent but could be improved by simply keeping her skates parallel to the ice and gliding longer after each push. If Daria follows through with her leg motion and continues to fully extend each leg, she can increase her overall stride length thus conserving her energy. Daria would benefit by lowering her center of gravity and bending her knees so that she can no longer see her toes. This would give her a more balanced stride and lead to more controlled navigation. To increase her power production Daria could work on her edge control. In order for Daria to really propel herself forward and gain momentum she should consider keeping her body loose and relaxed, but dig her heels into the ice to maintain a controlled stride. A beneficial drill for Daria that would focus on increasing her stride lengths would begin with her warming up by doing laps around the rink. After about four regular laps or so, she would skate on one foot from blue line to blue line. From the second blue line to the opposite blue line, she would skate customarily. This will help Daria be mindful
