Skate For Change: When People's Struggle In School

Decent Essays
I believe that if you struggle in school that shouldn’t have an effect on your future. If you put in time and effort and still struggle at something that doesn’t define who you are. If people knew who you were as a person and what you do they would know how you really are. Sometimes the person who struggles in school should understand that. You can still be very successful in life even if you struggled with school. All it takes is a creative mind and hard work. I learned this from a guy named Mike Smith, he struggled in school and eventually realized that all he wanted to do was help people. To this day now he has one of the most successful businesses called Skate for Change.

When we get over fears, we realize only then that we had the courage before to do that something we were afraid of doing. One time I was afraid was when I started ice skating. I always have followed the saying “if you work hard in life now you will not have to work as hard later.” This saying applies not only to how I work during school now, but how I participate in activities outside of school. To excel in what you want to achieve in life, I believe you need to put in the best effort and try your best in whatever you do. Living by this idea has helped me become a leader in the things I do. It has helped me put others at the same standard as myself and it helps me show my character.…

Over time, with the development of the field of speech language pathology, there have been a variety of findings on the cause and effects of test bias within children from multicultural population, therefore leading to the implementations and improvement of various educational legislations which effect how special services such as speech is provided to individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) populations. Working while in college Working while still going to college is something all students should do in my opinion. Most students don’t have the money to pay up front, neither does their parents. So they should work to get some money on the side and not depend on student loans. It is also good, because they don’t have to depend on their parents, as much and learn more responsibilities. People might argue that working while attending college can cause students to not have the time to study or do homework, but in reality it just all comes down on the effort of the student.…
