The 1960’s was a time of change, especially in the Political and Social landscape. More than ever Americans were making their voices be heard. Most of this happened on the streets and by voting. African Americans, Women and Anti-war demonstrators would challenge the order of America. The sixties would be a change in social change.
Politically in the sixties was the issue of the Vietnam War. President Johnson gained congresses approval of war, after the attacks of American Ships by Northern Vietnam. Later on the truth would be revealed that the attacks were a lie. Meaning, Johnson had lied so that America could stop the spread of war in Southeast Asia. As the war played on came the anti-war crowd. With massive casualties many went to the streets
