I think this is an extremely useful theory that could be used to develop a theory about men. Since the reality and experiences of men is different across the globe, it would be unfair to address all men as sharing a common experience. In addition, by deconstructing the category of men, we are simultaneously deconstructing the attached values and power that the category of men brings. That is, connotations of men are usually strong and powerful. However, by not using the identity category of men, we are displacing and making the existence of power less accessible. Although it is recognized that the inclusion of men in the discussion would be more well rounded and generate a more diverse, it is forever difficult for men to find that they are able to fit into the experiences of women. Men could learn about the experiences of women and their struggles, but it would be controversial as to how much men could remain objective in their theorizing of their own gender and their level of empathy and understanding that they share with their female counterparts compared to other female feminists. Since it would be debatable as to how much a man could offer if they have never lived the experiences of a woman. Therefore, it is understandable as to why some feminist groups consisting of only females reluctant to allow entry of male feminists.
