Oedipus the King is a play written by Sophocles which tell a murder mystery. Oedipus is trying to seek who killed his father and punish them. On his journey he learns more information about himself and also to whom the murderer might be. He starts to gain advice from Jocasta who did not believe in prophecy and commits suicide later in the play.
