The changes that are occurring in the process of care, for example, the search for lower costs of care requires that leaders are increasingly strong and efficient to deal with these constant changes in the health sector. These changes will be reflected in quality care and customer satisfaction, adding to the recognition and cooperation of the working group.
In the reality of care practice, nurses in hospitals seems to be an environment that promotes compliance with orders given and the responsibility to meet the supervisory functions of the services and to exchange personnel under their guidance. This can be explained by the difficulty of nurses to exercise this function, the complexity of the assignment to lead or the underestimation of its potential. However, the new current proposal management requires nurses numerous skills closely influenced by its leadership: giving credit to those who deserve, take risks, to determine a goal, play the role, be competent, foster enthusiasm, cultivate faith and delegate are characteristics that can be acquired by nurses in day-to-day work, through commitment and confidence in your abilities. In a market increasingly competitive, nurses must be prepared to take the many functions assigned to it. Thus, I believe that it is of fundamental importance the preparation of nurses regarding the leadership skills so that nursing actions linked to leadership is considered natural. Given the above, I conclude that it is extremely important for the nurse to develop leadership
