Family Guy is a situational comedy about a modern day cartoon family. This family is what most would call dysfunctional. Staring a father with a below average IQ and a peanut for a brain, a talking baby who plans on destroying his mother and ruling the world, a talking dog who thinks he is an author, a son who takes after his father with a well below average IQ, a daughter that everyone picks on and acts as if she doesn't exist, and a mother who is trying to keep everyone inline. Peter, the father, and Louis, the mother, have a quite odd relationship. Peter runs around with his friends Joe and Quagmire all day long terrorizing the city of Quahaug, and going on crazy adventures. For example, Stewie built a time machine that lead to many adventures that in turn altered the future, forcing Brian and Stewie to go back and change it. These two characters are really good friends and indeed make for a great episode when they embark on adventures. In one episode, Brian gets published and Stewie becomes his manager. Stewie continues to work harder and harder for Brian to get his book out in the public more while Brian becomes enraged with power and ends up firing Stewie, ruining their friendship. Brian realizes that he was wrong for firing Stewie because he knows that he was just trying to help, and fixes his mistake, teaching them both a valuable lesson. In another episode, Brian promises to take Stewie to meet Santa Clause. Brian brings Stewie to meet the Santa Clause that is in the mall, but, once Stewie realizes that the Santa Clause in the mall isn't the “real” Santa Clause, he then drags Brian with him on an adventure to the north pole in a search of the real Santa Clause. Once they discover that the real Santa Clause is near death trying to fill all of the orders on everyones christmas list, Brian and Stewie then deliver presents to the entire world.
