The white is mainly used to create some sort of lighting or “glow” to the lady whom the people are all surrounded. It creates an effect that looks like the lady is floating or coming down from the skies. The white and black colors are used as more of shading, which is enhancing the background and also some of the clothing of the people. The gold coloring enhances the piece because it makes the people stand out aside from not being the focal point. It enhances the lighting of the art and also helps with the glow above the woman.
