My book report is on “The Scandalous Summer of Sissy LeBlanc” by Loraine Despres. It is a realistic fiction book. It takes place in Gentry, Louisiana, in 1956. It is written in first person point of view, because the characters are talking about their point of view. The theme of the story is to take time to think about yourself, and not to care about what other people think about you, because the main character is always worried about what people were saying about her.
