There are more apps that are coming out that provide music, other internet sites that lure customers away with bonus offers and etc. When there is a demand for a product there is bound to be duplicated participants. Companies will take advantage of what one company has done, build off that, and create something better. Pandora is like that for Sirius radio. Both companies offer most of the same things even though one offers better incentives. Pandora has competition with Yahoo music and Spotify because they have also gotten on board with this type of service. Now there are more and more competitors offering like services by providing most of the same features.
Supply chain management This can go along with how they use retailers and online systems to provide customer service and sales. Sirius XM continues to rely heavily on their supply chain management roles to be successful. From the design of satellite radio, the variety of channels and shows offered, and the accessibility, they are using the whole system to the max.

They use customer information that is stored in databases to send customer’s emails for special offers, improve Sirius radio sites and services, offer extensions about new products and services, and perform market research. Sirius uses safeguards and security measures to protect personal information. They also have securities procedures that protect personal information so nothing is exposed and can’t get out. Sirius does however make note that they are not responsible for information that is given out by third parties who don’t abide by the privacy policy between Sirius and the customer. Sirius could do a better job of making sure third parties abide by the rules and if not they could cut ties with them if there are too many incidences that happen. Protecting the customer’s information should come first and by showing that it will ensure the trust of the company and ensure that customers will stay with
