The play Sins Of The Flesh is about a married couple (Alisteer and Gena Robinson) whose relationship went through a state of unease because of the affair that Alisteer was having with Michelle Duncan his secretary. Gena acquired the assistance of Richard Duncan the husband of Michelle and together they schemed up to unfold the dirty truth of Alisteer and Gena’s affair. There are several theories that could have been identified that would relate to this play. During the play theories of family, culture, gender and stratification could be observed. Family defined by George Peter Murdock is a “social group characterised by common residence economic co-operation and reproduction. Talcott Parsons stated that the family as two main function which he considers basic and irreducible.
