The specific group I will tell you about ranges in different ages. The youngest is 14 years old, and the oldest being 16 years old. Also the kids range in charges from theft charges to assault and battery charges. Each and every kid has different thoughts and attitudes when they came out the program then they did when they went in. For example, Thomas being the youngest was charged for theft, drugs, and fighting. After seeing what it was like first hand and getting advice from the inmates, since he has left the program he has not had any more charges, got in anymore trouble, and has straightened his act up. He keeps himself busy by mowing people’s yards which he actually enjoys. My last example is Abraham which is the oldest. He was charged with vandalism, fighting and theft. When he first went into the program, he had the ugliest attitude and made clear he wasn’t going to change, that he is a “gangster”. But with the use of fear of going to prison in the future if he kept up his behavior has now made Abraham a better person. He has stopped smoking weed and even went to rehab for it.
