Single Sex Schools Vs. Coeducational School Essay

Education is a big part of life for the majority of the people. In my research in education, a thought came into play; is single-sex success rate higher than coeducational school? To start with, single-sex schools are schools that only one type of gender is being taught while in coeducational schools is both mix genders being taught. There are many authors that had different ideas of who was more successful. They all did many different experiments, have different beliefs, morals, and work with many different schools. Even though, most authors had different outcomes, all of them wanted to know if studying in a single-sex school will make the students more successful than coeducational schooling or vise verse. My goal in this paper is not to make the reader side with one but to inform the reader of both alternatives in schooling.
Before the debate about single-sex schools and coeducational schools, the history of how they both came to be is very interesting. There was a time where boys were the only ones getting an education then as time progressed girls came into the picture as the United States politics and policies appear. The legislation stated that "…No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program… "(Rebecca1, and Margaret2 660).
