Children come in to this world at the expense of two people. As life goes on things happen. Some parents pass away. Sometimes married parents realize that it might just be better for them to co-parent rather than raise a family in the same house. Many people are very effective at co-parenting, nevertheless the bulk of the parenting falls on the back of one parent more than the other. Meanwhile, taking into to consideration it is tough on the children if they are moving from house to house on consistent basis and never able to build a set structure. Structure is one of the most important things in a single parent home. Often times one of the benefits of a single parent home is structure is almost forced because the obligation of raising children and meeting daily needs is on the shoulders of one person.

Understanding that you struggle so seeing someone struggle in a worse manner than you is heartbreaking and you want to help. According to the statistics from the U.S. census bureau approximately one-third of the children born in the United states are born to unwed mothers.
Also children of single parent homes are often times forced to have high levels of communication because of the level of autonomy because children spend a lot of time by themselves. The proverbial “latch key” kids is what society has called him. In other words, they are students that lock the door when they leave and are usually the first people home. This takes a lot of trust and a lot of communication when your kids are walking home and spending a lot of time at home on a daily basis.
One of the advantages of children growing up in a single parent home many times they at least see their parents getting along or they do not see much bickering.
