Statement of Resolution:
"Be it resolved that capitalism provides the most effective economic structure for society"
Issue Position:
The issue position of capitalism being the most effective economic structure for society did change before the debate. This is because, during the pre-debate report I was not able to gather a lot of information to support my main points, since mainly most of the information we found on the internet were supporting our opponent’s side. Therefore, I was convinced that we were going to lose with very little information. However, I was able to find lots of information, such as quotes, statistics, examples and so forth, in order to back up our points.
Personally, I believe that the issue position for capitalism

For example, Sinead was not dressed professional as she was supposed, instead she was in her uniforms. Otherwise, she has conducted a very good research with lots of good examples, quotes and so forth in order to support her main arguments. She spoke with a clear tone of voice, successfully reached the warning point, as well as doing well on her rebuttal against Faruzaa.
Brittany’s Performance:
She dressed well as a professional like she was supposed to, spoke with a clear voice and kept a steady pace during the debate. Also, she conducted a very good research with lots of good examples, quotes, facts and so forth to support her points. However, she spoke about my rebuttal against Sinead on her rebuttal as she was not supposed to during her rebuttal. She also was not very professional in a manner that was not completely quiet when my teammates were presenting their

She spoke with confidence and a clear tone of voice and kept a steady pace, which surprised me, since she has always been quiet in class. She also dressed very professional and did an excellent job on her rebuttal against my teammate, Lauren. Hailey had conducted a very good research due to her excellent amount of examples, facts, quotes, and so forth to support her main arguments. The only criticism that I would like to say about Hailey is that she was not able to reach the 9 minute warning successfully, which was a bit of disappointing since her overall debate was

I would like to examine Taylor Clark’s essay on Nervous Nellies or better yet her approach to explaining why women seem to be more anxious about life than mean. I believe the author did a great job in combining all three of the types of reasoning. She utilized the pathos style in appealing to our emotions by helping us actually take emotion out of the equation of why females react nervously when it comes to challenges. She showed us her authority on the subject by citing her book called Nerve.…

When it comes to Global warming, being a vegetarian should be turned to as a first resort rather than going more toward the Prius, a car that has been made to cut vehicle emissions in half in an attempt to fight against global warming. Kathy Freston’s article “Vegetarian is the new Prius” caught my eye immediately when choosing an essay for the very fact that, I want Toyota Prius, and also because I’ve tried going vegetarian. Although I see nothing wrong with being a vegetarian, the lifestyle just didn’t work for me. I do to a certain extent agree with her argument because ever since I took ecology in high school, the environment has been very important to me, and I do what I can to help preserve it. Freston wrote that President Herbert Hoover promised a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage”.…

Her word choice was carefully picked, precise and clean. Her tone was a calm yet persistent one where one could see how subtle but also determined she was on her work. She would pause just enough to make a clean speech, she didn’t hurry off or seemed nervous in any way which only interested the audience into paying attention to her. However, one may think that she would have an even more effective speech if she would of played with her voice a little more or do some sort of hand gestures. If she would have changed her voice into a stronger one she maybe could have expressed some strong feeling that wasn’t empathy or remorse.…
