One method of providing students the opportunity to try out a career is through participation in simulation exercises that require them to perform the day-to-day functions of a particular career. Simulation laboratory experiences may allow participants to identify how they feel about a career by allowing them to apply knowledge gained from lectures into simulated scenarios based on real-world situations they may experience on the job.
