As the 21st century progresses, the simple things such as family time and exercise is slowly becoming less vital. The trappings that technology has been capable of preoccupying someone for more than “11 hours at a time, because of the games, music, or using other things such as smartphones ” (Richter). The society, especially the younger generations that were born in technology ages, are losing simple communication skills because when a problem occurs, they tend to go to social media to verbalize about it whether than actually confronting it and dealing with it. Sites such as eharmony and match.com help people find potential ones to pursue a relationship based on each other’s compatibility. Since these sites have specialists designing the database and match-ups, many relationships and even families exist today.
