1. What did you learn from the short story?
At the beginning of the story, is a relationship of friendship between Simon and George. They both have known each other for so long. The both of them were considered as siblings and their families. Then what I learned from the short story is a family relationship that was built by the family of Simon and visits are also reviewed by the George. Simon decided to get married and build a family of his own, he studied to become a husband and father also useful to children and his wife also, he wanted to learn how to carry out the responsibilities of the head of the family.

Then he married. He married, quite suddenly, a little girl from the provinces, who had come to Paris in search of a husband. Can anyone understand these things? No doubt he had hoped for happiness, simple, quiet and long-enduring happiness, in the arms of a good, tender and faithful woman; he had seen all that in the transparent looks of that schoolgirl with light hair.
Why I chose it because every person there is a desire to settle down and have families of their own. One’s feelings can’t be expressed and can’t prevent a person to love another person is different.
