On TV to paper, everyone's talking about how Simone Biles won Gold on the 2016 Rio Olympics and everything. However, Simone isn't just a famous teenage gymnast…she's more than that.

Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, Simone Arianne Biles came existing in the world to become unique and powerful. Simone, along with her sister, Adriana, and two oldest brothers, Adam and Ron Jr. were adopted by their grandparents due to their father abandoning them and their mother who was a drug-addict. However, those family problems didn't affect Simone from striving for her dreams. At the age of 6, Simone visited a gymnastics center for a field trip and soon had a huge connection with gymnastics at the moment. A coach from the gymnastics center recommended Simone to join gymnastics, and without a breath, Simone automatically said yes. Years and years of training took time for Simone to get the hang of it, even though she has experienced some ups-and-downs. Simone did have some accidents during some of her meetings (practices and competition) along with a twisted ankle. Her positive influence has shown that no matter what incomes life throws at us, we should be strong and strive for our goals and dreams just like Simone did. She's a role model because she always tries her best to be the best, and sets aside everything she's been through and focuses on what she needs to focus on.
