Simon Bolivar was born on July 24 1783 in Caracas, Venezuela. He inherited a fortune when his parents died when he was a child. As a young man he traveled in Europe than returning home to Venezuela. There he joined a group of patriots that seized Caracas in 1810 and proclaiming the independences of spain. After losing Caracas he went to Britain in search of aid but only returned to Venezuela with the promise of britain's neutrality. He took command of the patriot army and recaptured Caracas in 1813 form the Spaniards.But did not hold it for long by 1814 the Spaniards forces pushed back Boliva to New Granada. Who is also at war with Spain he than took command of New Granada army's. With the forces of New Granade Simon Boliva captured bogota
