Simon Bolivar: The Latin American Revolution

Simon Bolivar was a military leader in venezuela from 1811-1830 during the time period known as the Latin American Revolution. Bolivar is best known for Him becoming involved in the resistance movement and then He played a key role in the spanish american fight for independence. He also freed people from slavery. In 1825 They called Him “The Liberator” . Bolivar died in december 17, 1830 in Colombia and is remembered and studied still to this day.

When Napoleon named Joseph Bonaparte king of spain and its colonies was when bolivar joined the resistance movement. The resistance group which was based in carcas gained independence. Bolivar then traveled to britain on a diplomatic mission.
