Simon Bolivar: A Great Leader

Throughout history there has been great leaders. They all made different impacts on the world and have influenced people in many ways. Revolutions also played a huge part in these leader's contributions. Simon Bolivar was a leader that had social and political goals that influenced various countries, even though they were not accomplished. Simon Bolivar was an influential and great leader because he impacted many countries, was fair towards the people, and had goals he wanted to accomplish.
Simon Bolivar was an impacting and significant leader because he helped Venezuela gain independence and influenced other countries. After successfully making Venezuela a republic, the Spanish took over again, but Simon Bolivar wanted to free them: "An army of our brothers has come to liberate you. We are sent to destroy the Spaniards, to protect the Americans, and to reestablish the republican governments of Venezuela" (Doc. B). This was one of his main political goals, and it makes him a significant leader because he wanted to establish this in the government and change the existing one. One of the social goals he wanted was equality: "With liberty he wanted legal equality for all men, whatever their class, creed or color" (Doc. C). This makes him a substantial leader because he didn't just want to free people, but he also wanted to have equality for all men.
