I started when I graduated high school slowly increasing my exercise, and I have done a lot during the summer. It is noted however that when the semester first starts it is harder to get in enough time to exercise as much. With being at school sometimes over eight hours a day, I do walk quite a bit around campus but don’t always get the recommended number of steps or exercise needed. While at home I have more time to exercise but have other things to do as well. Being since I won’t have as much time I take an exercise class making it easier to get more exercise so I can continue my ongoing goal of losing weight. Home life can be very distracting in both good, and bad ways. School Life is also sort of distracting, but more of a place for me to focus, and do my work. First of all, homework causes stress on students. We may as well just spend all day at school if we are having school at home anyways. Students should go to school, work on “school” work, then come home and not do “school” work at home. This would increase the productivity and attitudes of students. I, for one, would be in a much better mood concerning school if I knew that I didn’t have to look forward to coming home to more school work.…

Cummings received his Undergrad in History at Northern Arizona University and his Master’s in Public Administration from Drake University. I purposely selected Washburn’s Recreation & Wellness Center because that is the gym I personally use and did not know much about the managerial details and the overall statistics about the people that exercise at the Rec. The Recreation center is unique because it provides a different social atmosphere to over 500 students daily all who have made the conscious decision to come to exercise. The rec is not for athletic team practices and physical education classes its open to all students…

To be honest, I hate school with a passion, yet I love learning as much as living. As a child, schooling created a feeling of loneliness and sadness that echoed throughout my life, even now. I didn’t meet the standard levels for literacy and was separated from my classmates in elementary school for special reading and writing classes. Also the lack of freedom to say and move the way I wished to, and the rebellion that stemmed out of me in middle school due to these limitations. Finally, the conforming in high school to appease my mother, friends that drove me over the edge, yet even now I feel the same bull-crap in college.…
