In the Percy Jackson Books there has been a quarrel between greeks and romans since The Mark of Athena was stolen from the greeks, by the romans. When Percy is found out by the romans that he was greek the romans treated him unfairly. It was similar to how african Americans were treated in America for many years like in the book To Kill a Mockingbird.
Percy’s is from the greek side of the gods but ends up at a roman camp with no memory. He is treated fine like a normal person but when his memory comes back he realises he is actually greek and tells the people in the roman camp. From then on out no one has any trust in him. Octavian a roman said “how can we possibly take his word for anything when he lied about where he came from”(Riordan 167). Percy was repeatedly called a spy and that he should be kicked out of the camp. People thought that he just came to find out all the roman strategies and defenses so his greek friends could come destroy the roman camp. Even when he swore he was for the roman cause for the time being he was still called a spy. Just like in the TKAM book no one can trust what Tom Robinson said even though most people knew that the white Ewell girl was lying.
