In “The Hunger Games” the people kill people, while in Theseus and the Menotaur the beast kills the people. In “The Hunger Games” it’s optional to even have the event while in Theseus’ Kingdom they have to sacrifice to keep peace and stay safe. But in both situations the government randomly chooses random participants. Theseus and the Menotaur and “the Hunger games” were written by 2 complete different authors. But some parts of the plot and story are similar, that is because there is a reoccurring theme in most stories. I believe themes reappear through history because often times stories need a good “hook.” Most stories use a dramatic hook with action or a problem. Like a hero becoming a better person by going through a rough time. In conclusion both supporting and main characters have things in common. So does the actual plot.
