The comparison of the Salem Witch Trials and the vicious Holocaust(Shoah).
The Salem Witch Trials was very devastating in its way back in the year 1633. A long few years later in 1967 the genocide of the jew happened, The Holocaust. Although they are different in many ways, they have similarities better that you think.
The Salem Witch Trials accused many people of being “witches”. During the Salem Witch Trials, A group of girls started it all, After sometime of getting them to confess the tyrant,Abigail Williams, she started giving the court names of people who may be with witchcraft but really they were innocent. One or two hundred people were accused of being a witch and was arrested and imprisoned on witchcraft, even two dogs were executed as suspected accomplices of witches. Nineteen were executed by hanging, one was pressed to death, and four died in prison.
The Holocaust started in World War 2 1933, nine million jews lived in twenty-one countries of Europe. Millions of people were forced out of their homes, not just Jews but also Roma(Gypsies), disabled, and …show more content…
Both had a tyrant that was controlling the people to do their bidding, Abigail Williams from the Salem Witch Trials and Adolf Hitler from the Holocaust. Although the Holocaust was more devastating and a mass genocide of a full religion, they both have their reasons. Hitler started killing off the Jews because of a book he read that regarded Germany's Past, While Abigail,although she was doing it for her own pleasure, had the Bible for her help of persecuting the so called “witches”. Many people fell to Hitler because they were scared of him like how Mary didn’t want to tell the court that Abigail was lying to them.
