In the great debaters, you can argue that Henry Lowe shows the biggest form of leadership. In their biggest debate against Harvard University, Henry who is a very strong and experienced debater gives up his chance of leading the team to national glory to the young rookie James Farmer Jr. Henry that James is ready and shows enormous trust in him to give his spot as a debater. James also demonstrates he is leader through this because he doesn’t make Henry regret his decision. The pig was a white farmer's property. The farmer embarrassed Farmer Sr. in front of his family, degrading him as person. After this the farmer takes advantage of him because he knows he’s superior and that a black man undermining a white man was not acceptable and wouldn’t be allowed in society eyes. He charges James Farmer Sr more than what the pig is worth. In RTT, racism and prejudice is a big theme. Coach Boone is prejudiced by the white people in his neighborhood when he moves in. They see a black men moving into their fancy neighborhood and they think he’s a helper or a mover.
