Similarities Between The Giver

The book, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and the movie, The Giver by Phillip Noyce, are based on a futuristic Utopia, with the idea of sameness, and a child with the capacity to see beyond and a mission to stop the sameness. Some similarities between the two are the same main plot of sameness and a plan to stop it. Also the setting, a futuristic plateau. They both also include the same main character, Jonas. Jonas also learns about release, which is what they call Euthanasia, the same way. Lastly Gabriel, a child from the nurturing center, becomes a member of Jonas's family unit in the book and the movie too. Some of the differences between the book and the movie or the Fiona,and Asher who are Jonas’ friends play a bigger part, which
