When people think of epic heroes they normally imagine someone like Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. Heroes that are strong, loyal, and brave all while keeping a positive attitude. Beowulf is a hero from the sixteenth-century. He possesses the key characteristics of an epic hero. Beowulf and Superman are both strong, loyal, and brave with the great urge to protect people with the actions taken in each of their stories it shows how they will always fight the evil threats and prevail with a victory. (Comparison).
