I admire the Spartans the most. The Athenians was a democracy and they were set up having a town meeting where all could speak freely in an attempt to win over others once the majority ruled. The will of the majority was then forced on others, and if the citizens did not conform they were ostracized. Ostracism was introduced to prevent blood shed. An ostracized person had to go into exile, and lost all citizenship rights for 10 years (Pouwels, Adler, 2015, pg. 106).
