At the beginning of Romeo and Juliet the Prologue talks about “the fearful passage of [Romeo and Juliet’s] death-marked love, and the continuance of their parents’ rage”. Without the Montague and Capulets hatred for each other, Romeo and Juliet would have not been star-crossed lovers. Their families feud is what drove them to have a forbidden love, and their families feud is what drove them to die.
At the beginning of the play, conflict starts between a pair of Montagues and a pair of Capulets. Before they start to fight, an officer comes between them and states “...Down with the Capulets! Down with the Montagues!”, while telling them to drop their weapons. Later that night, the Capulets throw
