In the two plays “Oedipus the King” and “Death of a Salesman, the characters Willy and Oedipus have differences, but they also have some similarities. It is obvious that they both suffered from some type of psychological issue. Oedipus was worried about the future. He was worried about what he had learned from an oracle. This prediction was that he would kill his father and marry his mother. Willy was stuck in the past. He often tried to relive his memories and would get confused between actuality and memories.
