Michelangelo Di Ludovico Buonarroti Simon was born on March 6, 1475, in Florence, Italy. Michelangelo is one of the most well known artists of the Italian Renaissance. He was born into a family that owned a family banking business. He was not really impressed or interested with school, when he was young he would stare at painters by the church and would draw what he would see there. Michelangelo's dad acknowledged at an early stage that his child wasn’t interested for the family financial business, so he consented to disciple him, at the age of 13 years old, to the stylish Florentine painter's workshop.
