Power has been around for a long time and has been used for desires for countries and individuals for centuries. Power can be used for good things or for bad, depending on the person and his or her position of power. Both Macbeth and Donald Trump used his power over others to get to their goals. While Macbeth and Donald Trump differ in how they achieved power and where they began, they do share a similarity in that they both began with a love of country.

Trump started as a business man. “After Donald Trump gets out of college, he purchases and builds the Trump Tower, Trump Plaza in New York City and he builds casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In 1990, Trump casinos go bankrupt as he faces debts. In 1987 and 1989 Trump creates a book called “Trump: The Art of the Deal” and he also create “Trump The Game.” Donald Trump then becomes the host of “The Apprentice” and in 2015, Donald Trump says that he is going to run for President of the United States.” ( CNN.com) However, Macbeth was the Thane of Glamis and then he became the Thane of Cawdor. “King Duncan was told by Thane of Ross said that the traitorous Thane of Cawdor has been defeated. King Duncan told Thane of Ross to put the Thane of Cawdor to death. After that King Duncan gave the title of Thane of Cawdor to Macbeth.” (Act 2 of Macbeth, Page 348 - …show more content…
Trump had a few mistakes in the past and he is going to be a better President than Barack Obama. He is currently planning to fix the problems that have went wrong with the United States. Trump fought for the United States and Macbeth fought against Irish invaders. Trump had a business side and Macbeth was the Thane of Glamis. Trump was voted to become President of the United States and Macbeth killed King Duncan to become King of Scotland. When Macbeth becomes in power, he will do anything to protect it and Trump will do anything to fix the United States
