Lincoln and King achieved their goals in different ways. Martin Luther King jr was a pacifist, so he did not believe in violence. All of King’s protests and movements were peaceful and never violent.(2) But Lincoln was not a pacifist. He was willing to fight to preserve the union and free the slaves.(1) Martin Luther King jr and Lincoln had different opinions about blacks. Martin Luther King jr believed that all people should be treated equally, and he protested to get equal rights to blacks.(2) Abraham Lincoln did not start the war to free the slaves. He did it to preserve the union. But towards the end of the war, It was more about freeing the slaves than preserving the union. (1)
Martin Luther King jr and Abraham Lincoln learned very differently. Martin Luther King jr went to many different colleges and got many degrees.(1) Abraham Lincoln on the other hand had very little education when he was younger.(2) Lincoln had to read in his free time and late into the night. Lincoln learned later in his life compared to King.
