The Taming of the Shrew, to me at least, was perceived as a Shakespeare-type comedy with an important life message linked to it as well, whereas Macbeth is a gruesome story about a good man influenced negatively and turned evil as a result of two much power. I did, though, see a comparison between Katherine, the oldest daughter of Baptista, and Lady Macbeth, Macbeth’s wife. I felt a sense of similarity between these two characters because they are both empowering woman that have a certain set of rules to live by in each one of their individual minds. Yes, these characters have a multitude of dissimilarities amongst them, but they both started and ended up more or less in the same way; stripped of their empowerment, whether or not they are left with life
