Despite being developed more than 400 years apart, Scott Disick from "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and Mercutio from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet are both epitomes of the reality TV archetype the "Reckless, Wild Child." The purpose of this archetype is to entertain the audience using comical and dramatic elements while bringing out the good qualities of other characters. A reality TV audience does not want to deeply analyze what it watches - it wants a comfortably predictable, effortless plot.
