Similarities Between Jehovah Witnesses And The Orthodox Church

There are many differences and similarities between the Christology of Jehovah Witnesses and the Orthodox Church. They are many things that are different but also similar between the two. For example, the beliefs on many topics like the eternal pre-existence of Jesus, the Virgin Birth, and many more topics. Both of these are religious ideas but they are very different in their views and points. There are many things that are different and similar about these two views. The Christology of the two is similar. One of the ways the two are similar is the belief of the virgin birth. The Jehovah Witness believe that Jesus was born of virgin birth. The Jehovah Witnesses reject the doctrine of the virginity of Mary who they believe had more children before Jesus. The Bible disputes that claim in Matthew 1:23 by stating that a virgin will bear a child and the child’s name will be Jesus (ESV Bible). The Bible says that everyone has a choice on who goes to heaven as stated in John 3:16. But God the father is the highest of all creation. The Orthodox Bible teaches us that when Mary gave birth to Jesus. The orthodox Christians believe in One God and it is talked about in a document that most Orthodox Christians now. "I believe . . . in one Lord Jesus Christ, begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made, who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suf¬fered and was buried; and the third day He rose again from the dead, according to the Scriptures; and as¬cended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, whose Kingdom shall have no end."(Nicene Creed). This quote is important because it is saying that God has always had his full deity and full human traits. Also for God to be the perfect God, God has to be fully God and Fully Man. It is Important because if God does not have full deity than God cannot be trusted and it would make his word and the Bible not true. That is why the Jehovah beliefs are not Biblically
