The reason there is conflict in I am Malala and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is because they do not know what the other person feels like. For example, In I am Malala the Taliban are saying that girls should not go to school, but Malala thinks that this is an absolutely absurd rule. Now that they have this rule that girls can't go to school, Malala's dad is getting threatened because he owns a school that girls go to. This is very scary to Malala's family because the Taliban may kill her dad. Plus, the Taliban has killed many people that Malala's family knows. This is overwhelming because it shows that the Taliban will kill her dad if that is what they feel they have to do.
