Hindu marriage and catholic matrimony have many similarities throughout each of the rituals. They two are similar in the ways that both ceremonies take reading out of their holy books and are performed through the ritual. Symbols are also much the same in both rituals as the symbolize the sacredness of the ritual, in the ways that they are joined together for life.
