From this experiment, the properties of hexane, cyclohexene and toluene have been identified. Cyclohexene is the most reactive as it is an unsaturated compound that contains carbon-carbon double bond compared to toluene and hexane. Toluene is less reactive due to their aromaticity while hexane was a saturated hydrocarbon that only contain carbon-carbon single bond. Based on the result, unknown A believed to be a saturated hydrocarbon while unknown B was an unsaturated hydrocarbon.
