Comparison of Willy and Gatsby Willy and Gatsby were similar to each other by their personality. Willy is a great person and he was going through some sacrifice in his life for success. Willy had lots of hope from the future for better lifestyle. Gatsby was known as richest person and he was suffering to get his old love. Also, Gatsby was stubborn person because he had confident that life never makes him lose. Willy and Gatsby were alike by making some sacrifice in their life, Willy and Gatsby were different in the financial status, Willy and Gatsby were differently and they both end up dead by their terrible situation. To begin with, Willy and Gatsby were different by the financial status. Willy was hard worker person and working all day to earn the money. Also, Willy had difficult time to sale the products. Willy does experience a sort of revelation, as he finally comes to understand that the product he was sells to himself. For example, The Pursuit of Happiness Will was working all day to meet doctors for sale the bone density scanners; however, only some of doctors buy it and most of them reject him. Willy had so many problems in his life, and he was a failure by not getting successful in his life. “I tried to die but lived an enchanted life” (Miller 66). Willy was confident and hopeful person because he was in terrible position and he was living his life as regular person.
