Structuralism, functionalism and psychodynamic theory contributes by showing up in schools and focused on a mental process in a more systematic and accurate manner. Both structuralism and functionalism are connected because functionalism can not work without structuralism because it sets the foundation of everything else.

Advantages to a correlation study is that it can determine the strength and direction of a relationship, so that when later studies use this it will breakdown the other possibilities. Disadvantages to a correlation study is that the research can only show or uncover a relationship, it can not bring a flat out reason for why there is not a relationship. Cause and effect studies is a type of relationship in which an event (the cause) makes another event happen (the effect). Just having one cause can cause it to break out into multiple effects.
