Similarities Between Football And Hockey

Hockey compared to football has many similarity's and differences. I will talk about many of these throughout my paper. I am a much bigger hockey fan then I am a football fan. And think hockey is a much harder more competitive sport. Believe it or not, not many people have the talent to play such a sport like hockey. Hockey and Football are both team sports where teams compete for the top spot in there league of division. And many players are passionate to better themselves to get to the next level. Both of these sports contain great potential for a very wealthy life style if you make it to pro level. These two sports attract man fans. A lot of these fans are die hard for there team to win and proceed to playoffs. Fans even fight with other fans about there teams skill level and the score of a certain …show more content…
Were people try to over power the other guy whether it comes down to a hockey fight or a bear hug tackle. You have to be a tough player if you want to make it somewhere. Helmets are a important part in the prevention of concussions and your still apt to get one with a helmet on. Although there are many similarities between hockey and football, there are many differences as well. A big difference is there team sizes hockey is played with 5 guys from each team on the ice at one time with about 20 people on a team in total.While foot ball is played with 11 people on the field at one time and 53 people on the team in total. Hockey and football are also played on different surfaces. Hockey is played on ice witch proves a greater skill. Hockey players need to be very talented compared top football players who need to be tough. Football is played on a grass or turf field in an indoor or out door arena while hockey is always played indoors other then outdoor pond hockey up north in
