In Everyman by Anonymous and The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, there are allegorical characters that effect the main character of the story. Everyman is the story of Everyman who goes on a journey to confront God about the things he has done well and wrong in his life. In this story, the allegorical characters that affected Everyman the most are Knowledge and Goods. They make Everyman become the man that God wants him to be. The Hobbit is a story about an adventure that Bilbo Baggins goes on. In this story, Gandalf leaving is an important allegorical character to Bilbo. Like Everyman, Bilbo becomes a stronger person after Gandalf leaves. Goods is the fourth person to meet Everyman. Everyman approaches Goods to see if he would like to join him
