So far we have spoken about the two kinds of resources in these both countries but, how do they compare or even share similarities? Well, we can begin with the basic knowledge of knowing that both of these fuels come from natural resources such as their name states, corn and sugarcane. Both of these natural resources can continue to be grown and harvested for years to come, unlike oil, which unfortunately can actually run out, both of these resources are much cheaper and produce less toxic than electric vehicles or traditional gasoline vehicles. Unluckily, both of these fuel sources have already caused some controversy and has been questioned whether it is really helping the environment by producing less pollution or just producing more problems to the environment. Problems such as fuel instead of food, water scarcity, loss of biodiversity, and nitrogen pollution throughout the excessive use of fertilizers to grow these crops (Conca,James 2014).
At the end, we are not safe to say that we have found a full replacement for traditional gasoline which comes from oil. We cannot say that both of these sources of fuel are safe for than the other because both carry flaws and both carry great benefits. There are still some flaws with ethanol and electric vehicles. But let's not forget the huge
